Mobile payments and messaging specialist Fonix has been ranked #150 in the FT1000 list of Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies.

The FT 1000 report by the Financial Times lists the 1000 fastest growing companies in Europe. Those listed are considered to be the driving force of the European economy, generating jobs whilst sustaining economic growth and competitiveness across the continent.

Fonix was selected out of over 50,000 companies, ranking #150 on the list. This is recognition of Fonix’s impressive growth since its conception in 2006, with revenues rising from £4.8 million in 2013 to £41.5 million in 2016. In the last 12 months, Fonix has handled in excess of £95 million of consumer payments and has been processing over 400,000 payments daily.

Based in Central London, the company allows leading brands such as Comic Relief, Channel 5 and tastecard to provide their consumers with the option to charge payments to their mobile phone bills.

Rob Weisz, CEO of Fonix said “Securing our place among the FT 1000 further demonstrates the impact that we are having upon the mobile carrier payments space.

“This is well deserved recognition for our whole team, who are consistently driving mobile payments and messaging innovation. As we’re continuing to grow and enter new sectors, I couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come.”
