Fonix has been ranked 168th in the FT 1000 – the complete list of Europe’s 1000 fastest growing companies, annually compiled by the Financial Times.

The ranking is based upon annual growth rate in revenue between 2013 and 2016 and those that make the list are considered to be at the forefront of European business and innovation.

Fonix ranked 168th on the list, having achieved a 785% revenue growth in the four year period.

According to marketing and consumer data provider Statista, ‘Tech remains king’, with 21 of the top 100 ranked being technology of fintech service providers.

Fonix has undoubtedly benefited from the increase in demand for mobile payments and communication services, but CEO of Fonix, Rob Weisz, also attributed Fonix’s success to the efforts of the team, commenting:

“Fonix continues to go from strength to strength and it’s great to be gaining recognition for this. I am so proud of how far Fonix has come and we wouldn’t be where we are today without the incredible work that the team puts in round the clock,” he says. “This year’s FT 1000 results show that the technology sector is booming, and it’s clear that there is a demand for mobile payments technology: people expect to be able to do everything at the touch of a button now and this is particularly true when it comes to making payments.
