Gemalto provides Guinness guests with contactless payment wristbands at 6 Nation Rugby Games

Gemalto and its partners, have trialled the first contactless wearable payment solution at Rugby Football Union (RFU) Twickenham.

The RFU contactless wristband, which was Guinness branded, produced in conjunction with Intelligent Venue Solutions and Quantum Card Services, with support from MasterCard, was trialled at England’s 6 Nations matches on 14th and 21st March. With a band on their wrist, fans were able to speed through the half time queues and pay securely with just a tap of their wrist at any terminal within the fully contactless Twickenham stadium.
