aimm, the UK trade body for interactive media and PRS, has changed its executive structure “to ensure that the diverse needs and the concerns of all of the aimm membership are understood and accurately reflected”. As part of this, MD Rory Mguire is stepping down next month.
As part of these changes, aimm has appointed Joanna Cox as General Manager of, starting in August. Cox has commercial and operational experience in the Industry having worked at Telecom Express and Channel 5.
Her initial responsibilities will be to understand the needs and priorities of members; expand the knowledge-sharing aspects of aimm’s activities; develop aimm’s reach and networking opportunities; and build on aimm’s traditional strength of representation and promoting best practice in our Industry.
She will implement the aimm strategy around helping build the conditions for Industry growth.
“As part of these changes, after an amazing five years’ of service, Rory Maguire will be stepping down as MD of aimm at the end of June,” says the organisation in a statement. “Rory has made an incredible contribution to our organisation in that time. His knowledge and tenacity have delivered some very tangible wins on projects such as PSD2 and Gift Aid. The plan is that Rory will remain very much involved with aimm, bringing his experience and expertise to bear on a project basis.”
The shake up is augmented by five new board members elected in February:
• Abi Hillman, ITV
• Olli Cooke, IMI Mobile
• James McFarlane, PM Connect
• Jonny Brown, SB7
• Kevin Dawson, DMB
