With MWC’s last minute cancellation, many in the value-added services and telemedia markets are set to descend on Barcelona to go through with meetings and keep business ticking along – hey, if you’ve paid for the flight, why not? Follow #unofficialMWC2020 to stay up to date.
Telemedia news has spoken to a number of key players and learned that many are in fact still planning to go: the lure of networking and the deals done over coffee, lunch, dinner and drinks is enough to make the trip worthwhile.
At the time of writing we can report that ClickBid’s party on Sunday 23rd still looks set to go ahead with around 200 attendees still confirmed. There’s talk of appointing a local hotel as a central meeting point and we are in talks with @Mobile Squared to arranging an evening event on Monday 24th – more news to follow.
The Telemedia Magazine editorial team will be there every step of the way, so you will still have plenty of opportunities to arrange TelemediaViewpoint interviews with our editor Paul Skeldon – contact firstname.lastname@example.org to set up a video interview in Barcelona to get what would have been your MWC message out there or even to set up a ‘post show’ teleconference video interview from the comfort of your office.
We will also be putting out a special edition of TelemediaNews next week – which will exclusively carry news and view from any business that still intends to be in Barcelona – 23rd to 27th Feb.
So how to coordinate efforts, share information, network and arrange meetings? Please let everyone know your plans on our LinkedIn page or our Facebook page … and remember to also join our Telemedia Group.
And Telemedia-news will be there capturing the thought leadership and more from those that are attending this ‘unofficial MWC’.
To stay up to date with who is going and where the action is head to Telemedia’s LinkedIn page or Facebook page to keep abreast of where we are and who we are talking to… and to let us know if you are coming, where you are and how we can work together.
We will of course monitor the situation and realise that circumstances could change right up to the last minute – but in the meantime we’ll be happy to support all relevant communication across the telemedia sector – mVAS, carrier billing, IPRN, affiliate marketing, content, premium apps, fraud, messaging and any other technologies that drive minutes, messages and traffic.
So, if you are looking at your plane ticket and hotel booking and wondering if you should still go then yes, see you there.
