Jarvis Todd and Paul Skeldon take a look at some of the themes that have emerged in the last two weeks on Telemedia Online and many point to the Opportunities for MNOs
This week we find ourselves looking at messaging and conversational commerce and how MNOs may not be having it all their own way
MobileSquared research predicts that revenues from RCS for operators could grow to $52.2bn in 8 years – if they can tap into the growing swing away from online display ads and tap into conversational commerce…But MNO’s need to make this work or they are likely to lose out to the Social Media titans
They could even to lose out to voice devices as Smart home device transactions grow say Juniper research.
RCS and messaging are important and could make MNOs a lot of money, but there is a need to be proactive and make it carve out its niche and not just be the pipes that carry the traffic.
And If that wasn’t enough – you are invited along to the open access Telemedia8.1 session on Thursday at 10:30 Balancing Retaining Good Revenue and Reducing Mobile Content Fraud In Partnership with the Mobile Ecosystem Forum
