The National Trust enlists Fonix to grow its user base of supporters

The National Trust has partnered with Fonix to use Fonix’s Carrier Billing platform to  enable its user base of supporters to seamlessly charge donation payments to their mobile phone bills to help support nature, beauty and history.

The National Trust protects miles of coastline, woodlands, countryside and hundreds of historic buildings, gardens and precious collections. As part of the partnership, Fonix will enable direct carrier billing for donations which means there is no need to use cash, and payments can be made simply and quickly when out and about without the need to enter credit card details.

Rosie Fearon, Individual Giving Manager for the National Trust comments:  “We’re looking forward to making it incredibly easy for thousands of people to quickly and safely support the places they love. These new payment methods give us the opportunity to fundraise at scale as we start to welcome people back to our places following the coronavirus crisis.”

Rob Weisz, CEO of Fonix adds: “We are really excited to be working with the National Trust; this partnership shows the broad appeal of carrier billing and its ability to bring in new supporters, increase revenue and provide a seamless mobile experience.”
